I've been smacking myself in the head for the past few weeks of procrastinating on buying the minecon tickets (In my head: 'Oh they'll still be selling tomorow'... -_-)
Anyways, quick question: will the current fanbase be willing to go next year? Will there even be another one next year?
Basically, I was just wondering if Minecraft is just a current fad that's gonna die out any moment now =/
depends if mojang has the money or can sell enough tickets. Since Scrolls with now be there main development project now a lot of their budget will go towards that. Minecraft sales have in my opinion peaked and are slowly declining because most people brought the game in alpha/beta, While they still will have sales the minecraft *hype* has gone, Not to say people don't enjoy minecraft or minecraft videos but the hype of Hey look at this cool product etc etc etc the majority of people aren't discovering minecraft anymore they know about it, ether have brought it or didn't.
They probably will do a 2012, But I don't think it will be Minecon, I think it will be a Mojang con with all their products. Just my thoughts and my personal beliefs based off how the Xbox live marketplace works. Updating minecraft on both PC and Xbox would be a pain and I don't think mojang want to leave a small portion of their players out of the loop. (Basically I'm saying we will see little to no updates or they will be very very spread out.)
